About the Role
Kickstart your career in low voltage and structured cabling! No experience? No problem. You’ll receive paid training from day one and gain hands-on experience installing Cat6, fiber, voice/data, AV, and security systems. Work alongside experienced technicians, travel to commercial projects nationwide, and build a career in network cabling and telecommunications. Mentorship and opportunities for certifications are included.
This is primarily a travel-based position.
Candidates from the Green Bay and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Learn about structured cabling and network installations.
- Install and terminate Cat6 / Cat 6A copper cabling
- Terminate and test fiber optic cabling
- Install pathways (J-hooks, basket tray, conduit coordination)
- Safely operate tools, ladders, and Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs).
- Read floor plans and follow project specifications for cabling installation.
Travel Expectations
- Approximately 75% out-of-town travel
- Travel expenses fully covered (hotel, airfare, or company vehicle)
- Per diem provided
- Overtime opportunities available
- Some local projects may be available between travel assignments
- Candidates must be comfortable traveling during the work week
Qualifications
- No prior experience required — just mechanical aptitude and an eagerness to learn
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work at heights.
- Ability to distinguish wire colors
- Clear background check and drug test.
- Willingness to travel 75% of the time.
